Dance Badly Creative Group is an independent production studio developing original film, television, and publishing projects that explore technology, consciousness, justice, and our relationship with the living world. Our stories ask difficult questions, challenge assumptions, and examine the connections among people, animals, and the technologies we create. While many of our projects explore speculative ideas, they remain grounded in empathy, character, and emotional truth.

Every project begins with a question rather than an answer. Whether exploring artificial intelligence, biotechnology, animal consciousness, or moral responsibility, our work is driven by curiosity, compassion, and the belief that storytelling can broaden perspective.

Artificial intelligence is part of our creative workflow, but it never replaces the storyteller. It helps us visualize ideas, explore possibilities, and communicate our vision long before production begins.

OUR APPROACH

Dance Badly embraces an AI-enabled production workflow that allows original ideas to evolve rapidly while remaining firmly rooted in human creativity.

Rather than waiting until financing is secured, we develop visual proof-of-concept materials throughout the writing process. Concept art, character development, cinematic visualization, voice performance, and short-form demonstrations help collaborators experience a project's tone and potential early in the development process.

We see artificial intelligence as a creative tool—not a creative substitute.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Ron Capito is a writer, producer, and founder of Dance Badly Creative Group.

After more than three decades of developing original stories, he established Dance Badly to create thoughtful, character-driven intellectual property across film, television, publishing, and emerging production technologies. His work explores the intersection of science, ethics, and compassion, often asking what happens when people are forced to experience the lives—and suffering—of others.
